Revolutionary Oddball: H.T. Tsiang

  • pin Otros Libros / Other Books 2006 East Cesar E Chavez Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90033 United States (map)

We continue to celebrate the work of author H.T. Tsiang, a Chinese immigrant writer whose radical novels and poetry—mostly self-published in the 1930s—were decades ahead of their time.

This event will feature readings by authors whose work is in conversation with Tsiang's, including Floyd Cheung, editor of a series of Tsiang books published by KAYA Press — including Tsiang's last novel AND CHINA HAS HANDS, re-published this month, Kaya authors Sesshu Foster and Ed Lin, along with Jen Hofer, Kima Jones and Iris De Anda, will read excerpts from Tsiang as well as their own work.

This event will also be a soft-launch of a new space that Kaya Press is sharing with Seite Books and Tiny Splendor in Boyle Heights! Come celebrate Tsiang and our new digs.
